Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapy
in Mallorca and online

About my approach

I’m an experienced professional yoga teacher based in Mallorca, Spain, with a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy. Through yoga, I’ve discovered that body, mind and consciousness are integrated. I bring this awareness to my hypnotherapy sessions.

My approach is to blend Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Clinical Hypnosis and Mindfulness. This centuries-old practice is a key component of modern psychotherapy nowadays. It moves us out of auto-pilot and creates the awareness from which change begins. It also teaches us compassion and acceptance on our way.

Today, I draw on ancient wisdom, science and the magic within all of us to enable you to appreciate that life happens now, and that it’s time to change, find your path and follow it.

When you are ready, I am here to guide you.

The collaboration of us both is the foundation of your success in our session. I offer you a free, no-compromise 15-minute consultation call to find out if it fits.

What is Hypnosis?

When I hypnotise you, I use auditory, visual, or other cues to place you in a relaxed state.

In this state, the mind is focused and we are open to new ideas – responding directly and positively to suggestions given. Modern psychology defines hypnosis as a state of increased suggestability.

In this perfectly safe state, the logical part of your mind is relaxed, your inner critic is quiet, and you can imagine new behaviour, new emotions, new ways to think and even new physiological patterns.

Like planting a new seed.

Being in a state of hypnosis is perfectly natural. It’s what happens when you’re completely in the here and now and forget everything else around you. When you’re absorbed by a sunset or a creative project, for instance.

Repeating statements until you believe them is hypnotising yourself. I’ll help you unlearn the unbeneficial things you’ve told yourself about yourself and life.

Our goal is for you to return to your natural health and freedom, and to become the version of yourself you deserve.

I offer workshops and sessions on Self-hypnosis. If you want to know more, please feel free to contact me.

” Your mind is everything.

What you think you become.”

MAHATMA GANDHI

What is Hypnotherapy?

Pablo Picasso:

“Everything you can imagine is real.”

Before I hypnotise you and invite you into a deeply relaxed state where your body is at rest and your mind calm and receptive, we will establish a clear goal you want to achieve.

I will talk you through a hypnosis session, using powerful visualisations, ideas and suggestions. Most treatments begin with me inviting you to become profoundly relaxed while remaining conscious of where you are, who you are and what I’m saying.

You will listen to me and imagine what I suggest. Sometimes I might ask questions for you to answer.

In our sessions, you will learn how to enter a hypnotised state yourself for your own benefit whenever you need it later in life.

I offer in-person hypnotherapy sessions in Mallorca or online (Zoom).  The online sessions are as effective and beneficial as the in-person sessions.

My Method: Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapy

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy combines the two most powerful psychological therapies currently available– Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Clinical Hypnotherapy. It’s proven to be more potent and longer-lasting than either of these used on their own.

CBT uses specific techniques to unlearn behaviour, thoughts and emotions and focuses on the here and now. This aligns with everything I’ve learned as a yoga teacher. In yoga, we pause, create self-awareness and take specific steps towards change.

In each session, we spend around 20% of the time practicing mindfulness because change is only possible with awareness.

I offer in-person hypnotherapy sessions in Mallorca or online via Zoom.  Online sessions are as effective and beneficial as in-person sessions.

The typical length of a treatment is 3 to 6 sessions. Some challenges such as quitting smoking require just one session.

As a long-time yoga practitioner, I have learned that the only way forward is the change NOW. Pausing, creating awareness and taking specific steps to achieve a long-lasting change.

Areas I work with

These are the main areas I work with.

If you have a specific challenge that I don’t mention, I may still be able to help. Please get in touch.

I quit smoking with hypnotherapy 13 years ago and can’t recommend it highly enough.

According to studies, hypnosis is the most effective way to help you quit smoking. You are 5 to 15 times more likely to give up smoking with hypnotherapy than by willpower alone.

My goal is for you to become a healthy, happy non-smoker after just one session.

If you’ve tried to give up smoking before and gone back to the habit, don’t worry. The number of failed attempts is a positive predictor of your final success.

This is my process:

  • We have a free call in which we talk about your motivation and situation and whether now is the right moment for you to quit. If you’re in a severely stressful situation, I wouldn’t recommend trying to quit.
  • If you decide to work with me, we’ll set a date. A week before this, I’ll ask you to provide me with some information to help me customise your session. I’ll also send you an audio (self-hypnosis instructions) to prepare you.
  • Our session will be 3 hours. It will be intense and comprehensive but fun.
  • During the session, we’ll do several CBT exercises, and finish with a hypnosis. I will record all exercises for you so you can use them to stay on track during those difficult first few days.
  • If you struggle, you have my contact. I offer a free 1-hour booster session, to ensure you make it.

I would love to help you to be finally free of smoking.

If you suffer from IBS, you’ll know that drugs/medicines only work for a limited amount of time and that diets are simply not sustainable.

You may well also be aware that, although IBS is stress-related, doctors don’t really know its root cause. IBS is diagnosed by ruling out other illnesses.

It’s a chronic disorder but there’s a solution to it.

Gut-directed Hypnotherapy offers a proven remedy. One study found that ‘symptom severity scores, noncolonic symptoms, quality of life, anxiety and depression significantly all improved after HT’.

Additionally, the study reassessed participants annually and they found that 81 % of patients maintained their treatment gains fully to up to five years.

This is my process:

  • Before I can treat you, I ask for medical proof that you have been diagnosed with IBS and that your symptoms don’t relate to something more serious. You will need your doctor to refer you for an IBS hypnotherapy treatment.
  • We’ll start with a chat so I can establish what will work in your individual case.
  • We will need 6 sessions over a minimum of 6 weeks – maximum 12 weeks.
  • I recommend starting with weekly 2-hour sessions to build up momentum before moving to a 1-hour session every 2 weeks, allowing you the time to apply what you’re learning to your daily life.
  • I will record these for you so you can use them to stay on track after the sessions have finished.
  • We’ll stay in touch so I can monitor your progress after the treatment has finished. You may want a follow-up boost session after 3 months to make sure it’s still effective (not always necessary).

Pain control is one of the things people tend to find more impressive about hypnotism. However, it is important to realise that, like most hypnotic phenomena, it is really just a normal, everyday capability of the human brain. The pain threshold is much more elastic than people normally realise.

Yet, most of us don’t consider the possibility of learning to control even chronic pain with the mind.

When you work with me to manage pain, you’ll learn how we really feel pain, what modern science says about pain.

With no two individuals’ experiences being the same, an appropriate method of treating pain must be multidimensional and tailored to individual experience.

In our sessions, we’ll choose from different pain management techniques that work best for you.

This is my process:

  • Before we meet for the first time, I’ll send you documents to fill out.
  • The first session is a long assessment session, to understand exactly your pain pattern, and to create a treatment plan.
  • Hypnosis will usually be applied around session 3 and onwards.
  • Every exercise (CBT, Mindfulness and Hypnosis) will be recorded so you finish with a library of audio
  • You will have exercise to do at home, to integrate what you have learned in sessions.
  • the required sessions are typically 4-6 sessions, depending on the severity of the pain.
  • In some cases one booster session after 3 months -1 year is advisable.

“Some of the worst things in my life never happened.” ~Mark Twain

The British Medical Journal recommends CBT and applied relaxation techniques as the two most powerful therapies for anxiety. Combining these with clinical hypnosis makes the treatment even more effective.

This is my process:

  • Before we meet for the first time, I’ll send you documents to fill out.
  • We start with an Assessment session, so we can establish the nature of your anxiety, stress or phobias and how we can treat them. We might finish with a little exercise and your first recording.
  • Later in the sessions you will learn relaxation and natural self-confidence techniques and visualisation exercises to remove anxiety and stress related to particular situations.
  • You will learn Hypnosis and Self Hypnosis to deepen feelings of relaxation and confidence.
  • Once you know how to use these tools, we will practice them while in Hypnosis facing challenging situations. reconditioning your brain so you are prepared to deal with more difficult situations in real life.
  • You will also experience a lowering of general anxiety levels and physical tension.
  • Although you’ll notice the difference after 1 treatment, I recommend between 4 to 6 sessions to make sure you know how to apply what you’ve learned so it’s a permanent response not a temporary fix. Phobias sometimes require less sessions.

The addictions and behavioural habits I treat with hypnotherapy include drinking, drug use, over-eating, nail-biting and hair pulling among others.

My goal is for you to become addicted to the new you, rather than remain trapped in your previous idea of yourself as, for example, an alcoholic or ex-user.

I help you identify with new ways of thinking, feeling and acting and become a free, healthy person.

This is my process:

  • We’ll begin with a chat so I can tailor a programme that is right for you.
  • Depending on the severity of your addition or habit, we’ll normally need between 4 and 6 sessions.
  • With weight management, we’ll arrive at a way of living, moving and eating that works for your individual circumstances.
  • If I’m treating you for simple habits, I’ll use habit reversal training in a single 2-hour session with a 1-hour follow-up session 7-14 days later. This is proven to be remarkably effective. One study showed an average 90% reduction in the habit after the 2-hour session, improving to a 97% reduction in the habit after one month (Nunn & Azrin, 1977).
  • Your treatment will include me sharing tools to prevent you relapsing.

Relapse is prevented by making sure that my clients have the resources – positive habits and understanding – to stay on their chosen path of being free from their habit. You will leave the sessions feeling well-prepared for your new life. With easy-to-applicable tools supporting your healthy and free being.

The most probable cause of insomnia is excess muscular tension and anxiety over sleeping, as well as excessive thinking or worrying.

Sleep improvement is important for preventing and modifying many health problems.

This is my process:

  • We will probably need 2 or 3 sessions to solve your problem and restore your natural sleeping patterns.
  • For chronic cases, you should plan on 6 sessions.
  • Working with hypnosis, you’ll learn how to lower your levels of emotional cognitive and physiological alertness, calm your mind, relax your muscles, remove unhelpful behaviours and thinking patterns and encourage positive thinking around sleep.
  • I will also share techniques for deeper sleep and relaxation.

We all have times when we lack confidence and do not feel good about ourselves.

When low self-esteem and lack of confidence become a long-term problem, it can negatively impact our mental health, our day-to-day lives, relationships, work and study.

This is my process:

  • We’ll start with a chat about your low confidence and what you think its roots might be.
  • In our sessions, I’ll use mindfulness, CTB and hypnosis to find out more about your negative thought patterns and core beliefs.
  • Together we’ll plant new seeds of acceptance and ease with yourself to enable you to walk through life with faith and courage.
  • Depending on you, you’ll feel an improvement after the first session but sometimes between 3 and 6 sessions bare recommended.

This is a factsheet I usually share with my clients before the first session. There are often misunderstandings and questions about Hypnosis. If there are any points below which you don’t agree with, or don’t understand, please discuss them with

How Hypnosis Helped Me Quit Smoking—And How You Can Quit, Too!

There’s nothing quite like the shock of realizing you’ve been a smoker for nearly two decades… After 18 years of lighting up, I’d tried everything. From reading Allen Carr’s famous book to obsessively drinking water to avoid weight gain—none of it worked. It felt impossible to quit until I found hypnosis. And finally—relief. Understanding Smoking Addiction and Why You Should Quit Over the years, I’ve changed many unhealthy habits, but quitting smoking was by far
